একুশে বইমেলায় প্রকাশিত হয়েছে গীতিকার ও নাট্যকার রেজাউর রহমান রিজভীর প্রথম প্রবন্ধের বই “সময়ের প্রতিধ্বনি”। এটি লেখকের ৮ম গ্রন্থ। বইটি প্রকাশ করেছে সাদামাটা। আর পাওয়া যাচ্ছে বইমেলার ৮০ নং স্টলে ধ্রুপদী পাবলিকেশনস এ। বইটির প্রচ্ছদ করেছেন অপূর্ব খন্দকার। বইটির মূল্য রাখা হয়েছে ৩৫০ টাকা।
বইটি প্রসঙ্গে রেজাউর রহমান রিজভী বলেন, আমার লেখা সর্বশেষ বই প্রকাশ হয়েছিল ২০২১ সালের একুশে বইমেলাতে। এরপর নানাবিধ কারণে গত পাঁচ বছর আমার কোন বই প্রকাশ হয়নি। সেই খরা কেটে এবারের বইমেলাতে প্রকাশিত হল আমার অষ্টম গ্রন্থ “সময়ের প্রতিধ্বনি”। বইটি প্রকাশের জন্য বিশেষভাবে কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করছি বন্ধুবর ও পরিচালক ওয়ালিদ আহমেদের কাছে। তার সদিচ্ছা ও একনিষ্ঠ সহযোগিতা ছাড়া বইটি এত দ্রুত বইমেলাতে আনা সম্ভব ছিল না। এছাড়া রকমারিসহ অন্যান্য অনলাইন প্লাটফর্মেও বইটি পাওয়া যাচ্ছে।
প্রসঙ্গত, “সময়ের প্রতিধ্বনি” বইতে লেখকের বিভিন্ন বিষয়ের উপর ২০টি প্রবন্ধ রয়েছে। প্রবন্ধগুলোতে প্রাসঙ্গিক রেফারেন্স ও নানাবিধ তথ্য-উপাত্ত যুক্ত রয়েছে, যা পরবর্তীকালে গবেষক ও শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য প্রযোজ্য ক্ষেত্রে সহায়ক হবে। লেখক আশা করছেন, পাঠক ও গবেষকদের কাছে প্রবন্ধগুলো চিন্তার খোড়াক জোগাবে।
Lyricist and Playwright Rizvi’s ‘Whisper of Ages’ Unveiled at Ekushey Book Fair
The first essay collection of lyricist and playwright Rezaur Rahman Rizvi, titled ‘Whisper of Ages’, has been published at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair. This is the author’s eighth book. The book has been published by Sadamata and is available at Stall No 80 of Dhrupodi Publications at the fair. The cover has been designed by Apurba Khandakar. The price of the book has been set at Tk 350.
Speaking about the book, Rezaur Rahman Rizvi said that his last book was published at the Ekushey Book Fair in 2021. Due to various reasons, no new book of his had been published over the past five years. “With that hiatus now over, my eighth book, ‘Whisper of Ages’, has been released at this year’s book fair,” he said. Rizvi expressed special gratitude to his friend and director Walid Ahmed for supporting the publication of the book. He noted that without Walid Ahmed’s goodwill and dedicated cooperation, it would not have been possible to bring the book to the fair so quickly. The book is also available on Rokomari and other online platforms.
‘Whisper of Ages’ contains 20 essays by the author on a range of subjects. The essays include relevant references and various data and information, which may prove useful for researchers and students in the future where applicable. The author hopes that the essays will provide readers and researchers with meaningful insights and stimulate thoughtful discussion.
